Bypass reconstruction of the pumping station „Gryczana”

Modernization of the inlet-distribution chamber in the area of the “Gryczana” sewage pumping station

Project:

Przedsiębiorstwo Wodociągów i Kanalizacji Sp. z o.o. of the city of Wołomin has announced a tender for a replacement pumping station as part of the modernization of the inlet and distribution chamber. The project consisted in the transfer of sewage in the amount of 2000 m3 / h in order to bypass the pumping station and redirect it directly to the area of the treatment plant m. Wolomin, by two lines of the DN600 pipeline with a length of 2700m.

The main assumptions of the pumping station:

– capacity of the temporary pumping station system approx. 4000m3/h
– discharge with steel pipe DN 500 with a length of 25m
– connecting the pipeline to the storm collector 2 x DN600 with a length of 2700m.
– electrical supply
– storm pump power unit controlled automatically by a float in the suction chamber

Equipment:

1 pc. Container 2 x Hidrostal F10HD
2 pcs. Hidrostal F10HD
2 pcs. PLC control container 2 x 45kW
1 pc. Busch Vacuum Pump
1 pc. Aggregate CAT 110kVA
25m pipeline DN500

UPRENT solution:

As part of the winning tender, we used 2 x Hidrostal F10HD container with a separate vacuum system and 2 Hidrostal F10HD storm pumps with a total capacity of 4000 m3/h with a standby vacuum system feeding the Busch pump were used for temporary pumping of wastewater. The pumps worked automatically via a PLC control container, which allowed for maintenance-free operation of the equipment during the project. The storm pumps were powered by a separate power source provided by UPRENT. It was a 110kVA unit from the CAT manufacturer with automation enabling the generator to be started with a sharp increase in the level of sewage in the suction chamber. The transport of sewage to the treatment plant was carried out by means of a steel pipeline with a diameter of 500 mm and a length of 25 m with direct connection to two independent 600 mm channels with a length of 2700 m
